A customer purchased an antique inkstone box that did not have a small water container on it, so we custom-made one to fit into a hollow space in the inkstone box.
As with this inkstone box, many of the items sold at antique shops are missing metalware. Metalware originally attached to antique lacquerware, such as a Sake pitcher from a Hanami Jubako (picnic set for a cherry blossom viewing), silver or pewter parts are valuable and have often already been removed and sold separately.
